Information You Submit
Search Queries
When a name, county, state, or similar search term is entered into a search tool, that query is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Berkshire County Inmate Population does not keep its own separate log of those search terms. Partner tools may have their own privacy rules, pricing terms, and data practices.
Messages and Emails
If you email us or use a contact method tied to this site, the message and reply address may be kept long enough to answer you, resolve a technical issue, or maintain ordinary business records. We do not share contact messages outside the organization unless required by law, court order, or another valid legal process.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most websites, this site receives routine technical data when a page loads. That data helps keep the pages working, find broken links, and understand how readers use Berkshire County inmate and records content.
- IP address and approximate network location.
- Browser name, browser version, and language settings.
- Device type, screen size, and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on those pages.
- Referring site or search engine, when one is supplied.
- Date and time stamps for visits and requests.
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may be used to measure visits, remember basic settings, and understand which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Some features, ad controls, or partner tools may work differently when cookies are blocked.
How Data Is Used
- To keep the site available, readable, and reasonably fast.
- To send search requests to the partner service selected by the user.
- To learn which Berkshire County jail, court, and records pages are useful.
- To find broken pages, security events, and technical errors.
- To display advertising that may be based on general browsing interests.

Once you leave this site, the privacy policy of the outside site controls.
